PBIS

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive, multi-tiered approach schools use to increase learning, promote positive behavior and improve school safety. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. With PBIS, schools teach students positive behavior strategies, just as they would teach any other subject.

PBIS recognizes that students can only meet behavior expectations if they know what the expectations are. Everyone learns what is considered appropriate behavior and they use a common language to talk about it. Throughout the school day — in class, at lunch, and on the bus — students understand what is expected of them.

Leader In Me

Leader In Me is an evidence-based, comprehensive model that builds leadership and life skills in students, creates a high-trust school culture and lays the foundation for sustained academic achievement. The program’s goal is to establish a “whole-child” mindset with a belief that all students have genius and everyone can be a leader.
