Family Involvement

Sixth graders enjoying the playground slide

Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School welcomes the active participation of parents, grandparents and community members. We believe that children flourish in an academic environment that unites home and school. This supports student enrichment and achievement with a goal of providing the best possible education for each student.

There are many ways to get involved, including volunteering as a playground helper, classroom helper, member of the PTO, field trip chaperone, site council, and many other opportunities. We encourage you to get involved.

Teacher Organization (PTO)

Our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is a well-attended and vital part of our school community. The support of our amazing PTO can be seen throughout our school - from our new playground equipment and generous classroom funds, to the newly refurbished library and front lobby. If you are interested in learning more about our PTO by subscribing to their weekly PTO Newsletter, click on the link below.

Volunteering

Volunteers are always welcome and valued at PPPS. It's not just individuals who can volunteer – groups and area businesses can play an important role in supporting our school communities.

Please note that each school year you must complete a new Site Volunteer Application. For more volunteer information, including the Volunteer Handbook, check out the Volunteer and Chaperone page of the PVUSD website.

PPPS Dad's Club

Help make an impact at PPPS and within our community. The PPPS Dad's Club will assist the PTO on school improvement projects and events throughout the year. We will also have occasional Dad-Only events where we can discuss ideas, unwind and congratulate ourselves on a job well done.

There is no need for a time commitment to join. If you can only attend a single social event, we'd love to have you. We will set up an email group as well as our first meeting in mid to late August. Email Aaron Gillam for more information.
