Band
Pinnacle Peak Preparatory offers multiple levels of band to 4th-8th graders. 4th grade band students start by taking a journey through the wonders of different instruments. They get a chance to play Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone and Percussion, in hopes of finding an instrument, and finish the year on the instrument they choose. In 5th and 6th grade, band students will continue to practice their skills and improve on their technique and playing abilities. Middle school band (7th and 8th grade) is a unique program here at PPP, as we have smaller class sizes. This helps to provide a lot more one-on-one attention, and students are able to develop higher-level musicianship skills. Strings
Strings class is a fun, exciting and positive environment, where students learn all about stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello and bass), and learn how to play them. 4th grade students will be instructed on the basics of plucking and bowing their instruments, as well as how to play in a group setting. 5th and 6th grade students will continue to refine their technical and musical skills, while also getting the opportunity to participate in special collaboration projects, festivals and performance trips. In addition to special projects and trips, Middle School orchestra students also have the opportunity to participate in special projects and trips, as well as additional performance opportunities for chamber music. They also have the opportunity to serve as peer mentors for our younger students.
All Strings students will learn note reading, music theory, aural skills, important composers, and about the history of their instruments.

Chorus
The Pinnacle Peak Singers is a group of 4th through 8th grade students who meet weekly to sing and share their love of music. Practice is held on Wednesday mornings before school, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the Music Room. This group is a non-audition group and all are welcome.
Concerts are performed multiple times per year:
- Tuesday, December 5th: Fall/Winter Concert - Assembly (during the school day).
- Wednesday, December 6th: Fall/Winter Concert, 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, March 2, 2024: PV Sights and Sounds, TBD
- Wednesday, May 1, 2024: Spring Concert, 6:30 p.m.
