Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School (PPPS) is a top-notch K-8 neighborhood school with an A rating. The school community is incredibly diverse and believes in the power of working together to ensure a safe, healthy, and respectful environment for all. Pinnacle Peak's staff is dedicated to providing all students with academic excellence while fostering a lifelong passion for learning.
PPPS opened in the fall of 2002 to serve the families of Paradise Valley Unified School District's most northern boundaries. It is located adjacent to Sonoran Hills Park. The school offers Pre-K through 8th grade classes and is home to Mascot, a before- and after-school program.
Pinnacle Peak offers K-6 students a diverse range of special area classes including music, art, PE and STEM. The 4th-6th graders can also choose to participate in Band or Strings. For middle school students, the list of elective options keeps growing, from musical theater to STEM and Festival Sports.
Pinnacle Peak has a team of dedicated professionals who support students' academic growth and success. This includes full-time reading specialists, gifted math and reading teachers, math interventionists, and special education resource teachers.
The school offers a variety of Community Education classes after school, such as sports club, drama, chess, engineering, dance and creative arts. And to ensure teachers and students have the best possible tools for success, 1:1 technology carts are in all classrooms.
As a public school, PPPS provides a private school feel through smaller class sizes. The K-8 model is designed to keep families together for a longer period of time and to ensure a seamless transition into middle school. The school offers a range of opportunities such as student government, National Junior Honor Society, and volunteering. Moreover, Pinnacle Peak is a Leader In Me school that aims to cultivate leadership and life skills, and promote academic excellence through a high-trust culture.
