About Our School

Welcome to Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School, an A-rated, K-8 neighborhood school. As a diverse community of learners, we encourage a cooperative and collaborative effort to maintain a safe, healthy and respectful environment. PPPS is committed to achieving high academic standards, as well as a lifelong love of learning.

Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School opened in the fall of 2002 to serve the families of Paradise Valley Unified School District's most northern boundaries. It is located adjacent to Sonoran Hills Park. We offer Pre-K through 8th grade classes, as well as being home to Mascot, a before and after school program.

Our Classes

Pinnacle Peak provides a rotation of special area classes to our K-6 students that includes music, art, PE and STEM. 4th-6th graders have the opportunity to participate in Band or Strings as well. Middle school students get the chance to select from a variety of electives ranging from musical theater and drama to STEM and robotics. We support all of our students with a full-time reading specialist, gifted math and reading teachers, a math interventionist, and two special education resource teachers. Community Education classes, such as sports club, drama, chess, engineering, dance and creative arts, are also offered to our students after school. All of our teachers and students have access to 1:1 technology carts in their classrooms.

Our Students

Pinnacle Peak is a public school, but our smaller class sizes give it a private school feel. Our K-8 model not only allows families with multiple students to remain together longer, but it makes for a smooth transition into middle school. Our students are offered multiple opportunities to build their leadership skills through student government, National Junior Honor Society, and volunteering. Our Junior Hero program recognizes students who volunteer at school and in the community. We are also a Leader In Me school. Leader In Me is a program that builds leadership and life skills, and accelerates high academic achievement through a high-trust culture. Our goal is to encourage students, from Pre-K through eighth grade, to be successful in high school and beyond.

Our Motto: The PPPS family of learners collaborates within an engaging community that is passionate, purposeful, and productive.
