Leadership

Dr. Aaron Freed is the proud Principal of Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School.  He works closely with the students, staff and parents of the only K-8 school in the Paradise Valley district to create a community that is passionate, purposeful and productive.

Prior to this role, Dr. Freed worked as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of Pagosa Springs Middle School, a 5th-8th grade school in Pagosa Springs Colorado. He was responsible for behavior management, growing a strong athletics department, and collaborating in the implementation of new student activities and leadership opportunities. His teaching experience was in the Minneapolis area as an elementary band teacher.  He still loves to be around music and never misses and opportunity to help cover a music, band or strings class.

Dr. Freed's doctoral work focused on teacher professional learning and his master's focused on student homework/practice habits.  He brings his learning in these areas to Pinnacle Peak by working to ensure all students and staff are given opportunities to connect with their own learning in personally meaningful ways.
